A woman in Boulder, Colorado dyed her pet dog with beet juice and Kool-Aid to aid breast cancer awareness. She now faces a fine of $US1,000 for "oppressing her poodle".

According to moonbattery.com, "Joy Douglas's adorable Cici is a "breast-cancer awareness dog," thus the pink dye job. But not even preventing breast cancer is noble enough to excuse the barbaric practice of dog-dyeing.

"Authorities have been using a section of the city code intended to prevent the dyeing of chicks and bunnies for Easter to prosecute her for staining Cici's fur with beet juice and Kool-Aid. Police would probably be happy to forget the whole thing, but concerned citizens keep calling to complain.

Horrifyingly, Cici does not seem to mind being dyed pink."

There are many sites offering cute dog clothing. It is a big fashion industry . This pet owner could have avoided a hefty fine by buying a fashionable pet dog coat in pink for her beloved pooch. A $1,000 donation to breast-cancer awareness would have been very welcome!
